Is It Too Late to Become an Actress?

Dear Momofuku,
I am 32 years old. Is it too late to realize my dream of becoming an actress? Or should I marry some guy I don't love and have kids with him?
--Make Me A Star

Dear Make Me A Star,
Momofuku Ando has plenty of famous quotes on this subject, but I'm afraid they're contradictory. For example, he often said, "I invented instant ramen when I was 48 and Cup Noodles when I was 61. In life, there is no such thing as too late!" However, he also said, "Pouring water and fertilizer in a spot where nothing will grow is simply a waste." No doubt he was referring to his legendary failure with instant rice. That's not to say he didn't have trouble inventing ramen, too: he spoke often of failure after failure. But he made small progress. I guess the question for you is, Is anything growing in your acting career? Of course, the definition of a "flower" can be different for different people. Don't marry someone you don't love. Definitely don't have kids with such a person. Momofuku reportedly did that, and it wasn't pretty.
